The following are notification statuses that can be see in the Message Log under Notification Messages.
Unknown / None
This status is only displayed temporarily in the system, until the message has been processed by the corresponding communication link.
A message has this status when no delivery notification has been requested for it and it could be transmitted successfully to the opposite party.
(SMS) messages for which a delivery notification has been requested receive this status; however the message could not yet be delivered to the mobile phone. This can be the case, for example, when the mobile phone is turned off. In this instance, the message is buffered in the SMSC for a later delivery. If an (SMS) message has this status, the status can no longer be changed in Failed.
Only (SMS) messages for which a delivery notification has been requested can receive this status. Once a delivery notification has been received, the message receives this status. The status will not change further
Only (SMS) messages for which a delivery notification has been requested can receive this status. If a message could not be delivered to a mobile subscriber, it is saved in the SMSC for a period of time set by the
mobile subscriber. If a message could not be delivered within this time frame, the SMSC will cancel the delivery and inform Enterprise Alert about it. The message will subsequently receive this status.
Messages can receive this status only if they could not be sent successfully and the store-and-forward
mechanism is enabled. What is advised as a result is that such messages are automatically resent for a configurable period of time during a configurable interval. Should the delivery of the message still have been unsuccessful after the expiration of this time frame, the message then receives the Failed status.
Messages that (definitively) could not be successfully sent receive this status. This status more likely indicates an external cause of the problem (destination device could not be reached, etc.).
Unlike the Failed status, this status more likely indicates that the message could not be sent due to an internal problem. In this case, the platform is apparently not configured correctly and thus cannot send the message.
